The photographer's notes state: 'Copy. View from S.S.W. "Orpington High Street previous to 1914, showing old cottages built in 1635." From Kentish Times'.
There is an additional note for the site stating: 'These two dwellings were demolished in Oct 1938, after having been saved more than once'.
